senior web designer

Remote | Volunteer; London Timezone (GMT+1)  
6 hours/week minimum

The Senior Web Designer is responsible for the design and development of high-quality websites for GrassRootsWeb's clients. This includes working with clients to gather requirements, creating wireframes and mockups, developing and implementing code, and testing and troubleshooting websites. You will also be available to help guide volunteers who are junior web designers.

  • Work with clients to gather requirements and understand their needs.

  • Create wireframes and mockups to illustrate the design of the website.

  • Develop and implement code to create the website.

  • Test and troubleshoot websites to ensure they are working properly.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest web design trends and technologies.

  • Mentor and guide junior web designers.

  • Other duties as assigned.

qualifications

  • Experience in web design and development.

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with web design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail.

additional details

This role may range from a few hours a week to a couple of hours a day depending on workload but is very compatible with other commitments such as full time employment, part time employment and university studies.
